The Universal Union and YOU!
If you are reading this, then welcome to the Union! As part of the UCN and UW, you are the best of your fellow citizens and have been elevated a level in which your normal duties have been increased but also your importance to the Union doubling. You are the ideal civilian and, indeed, the person your former peers will look up to. It is no secret that there are those that would rather see the human race stagnate than accept the help of the Union, but it is up to you to help them understand that the Union's actions, while questionable in the outdated way of thinking, are beneficial not just for them, but for humanity as a whole.

You may not have free access to the Union complexes throughout the city, but your word will be seen as more reputable than that of a standard civilian. MPF units will afford more time for your grievances and complaints, even giving you the chance to write to the CA should they be at their office during the time of your writing. Your duties will be varied but the hardest part, letting go of primitive and outdated beliefs, is over. Welcome to the Union.

Your Duties Explained

UCN:
Standard Member- As a member of the UCN, your own duties are limited but can be given directly to you by any of the three managing members. Should you have no direct duty, you may fulfill your directive by showing civilians how the Union has helped you. You are given a small wage to use as you see fit and this includes simply paying civilians for basic good deeds. Set the example for civilians and help the MPF however you can.
Planner- The planner is the lowest member of the management team, but just as important as the others. The planner's duties include preparing jobs for members of the UW as well as co-ordinating the duties of standard members after their orders have been officially given. Your secondary duties are to write or create art, pamphlets, or letters for the UCN and UW. Always remember that positive language and great detail help citizens remain positive!
Assistant manager- The assistant manager speaks to all standard members of the UCN and takes all low level requests from standard civilians. If there is no manager or the manager is not at the office, the assistant manager acts as the interim manager until the manager is replaced or returns. To speak with the manager, you must first speak to the assistant manager.
Manager- The manager is the head of the UCN and brings all of the grievances to the higher ranking MPF as well as potentially the CA. They have a direct line of contact to the MPF in their office and they take higher level complaints. If there is any major request or change to be made, the manager will directly decide what to do.

UW:
Standard member- UW members are the best at doing the manual labor the city needs to have done and will often train other civilians on how to be more efficient. As a member of the UW, you visit the second floor of the UCN offices to take a job posted on the billboard in the hall, handling the duty for the day. You may bring civilians with you but their compensation is up to you.
Foreman- The Foreman's duty is to teach any member of the UW how to become better at their selected specialty or strengthen their overall skills. The Foreman still answers directly to the UCN but should they see a job that can easily be done by members of the UW, they do not need to go through the UCN to hand the job out to a UW member.

UCN and UW Locations

Throughout the city are places locked away for use by Union staff. These places may have civilians in them, but they must be accompanied by you or another member of the Union. All locks must remain engaged unless the buildings are staffed or, in the case of the apartments, you are allowing visitors. No one is permitted to stay in the Metropol unless they belong to the UCN or UW so they must leave before nightfall.

Union Offices- This building has two entrances, one being directly across the street from the train station and the other being past the nearest checkpoint from the main entrance. The offices are to remain locked at all times unless someone is staffing the front desk to direct people to the appropriate office.

Union Housing- This building is the Metropol hotel. It has five floors in total, as well as a storage basement. Two of the four upper floors are living spaces capable of holding up to two in each at a time with the third floor being a communal area to congregate, while the top floor is paperwork storage and roof access, though roof access if off limits. It can be found across the street from the theater.

UCN warehouse- This building does not have a door lock on it as it does not have anything worth protecting inside. It is more used as a UW practice area for multiple jobs they can be called on for. Though items may be stored here, it is advised you do not do so. It can be found up the street from the Metropol.

Expectations and Party Rules
As a member of the UCN or the UW, you will have access to resources and items normal citizens are not permitted, such as a Union ID or access to the hospital near the offices. You must not allow any resources fall into the wrong hands and if you see a member exploiting their membership, report them immediately to both the manager (or highest up member of management) as well as the MPF.

  1. The offices must remain locked if no one is working the counter. If an important meeting is happening on the second floor or the member at the counter require a break in the break room, the office doors must be locked.
  2. Do not lose your Union ID. If you lose it, report it immediately to the MPF as well as your superiors. If you do not trust yourself with a Union ID, request your positions take place somewhere that you can access.
  3. Do not unlock any locks that are off-limits to citizens. The factory back door as well as the Baltic back rooms are examples of this.
